Dear Cashiers and Highlands Nonprofit Organizations:
 
If you are like the Albert Carlton Cashiers-Community Library, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cashiers and Highlands, Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center, and The Village Green, you can always use more volunteers to help with activities, events, and administrative support. With this need in mind, we are sponsoring a Volunteer Fair on Saturday, August 13 th , from 10 am to 2 pm at the new meeting space at The Venue at Sapphire Commons (70 Sapphire Valley Rd, Sapphire, NC 28774). We hope to showcase nonprofit organizations on the plateau and give them the opportunity to recruit interested volunteers to support them.
The Venue at Sapphire Commons is a new, 2200 square foot event space with room to host approximately 25 organizations at 6-foot tables. Each organization will be able to have 2-3 people attend to discuss their organization with potential volunteers. To keep the cost to a minimum, we ask that you supply your own chairs and 6-foot table to display information. We will be inviting anyone interested in volunteering with local nonprofits through direct invitations; flyers provided to nonprofits who are participating in the Volunteer Fair, local clubs, recreation and community centers; print and radio media ads; Cashiers Crossroads Banner; and Cashiers and Highlands Chamber event calendars.

The fee to each organization is just $25 to cover the expense of running this event, including advertising, food and beverages, and administrative costs. Join us at this Volunteer Fair Event by registering at:           https://secure.qgiv.com/for/volfai/
