Seed Starting Indoors
Venue: Albert Carlton-Cashiers Community Library
Starting garden plants from seeds indoors can be a worlthwhile project for any gardener. It's a relatively in expensive way to grow a wide variety of plants and help get a jump start on the coming season's garden as they will mature sooner and produce earlier than seeds sown directly into the outdoors. Many garden favorites are found in a greater variety of colors, sizes, and growth hapits as seeds, rather than as started plants.
Come learn how to build your own easy simple seed starting grow-shelf and which crops to begin as seeds, timing of sowing, methods of sowing, media types, ways to achieve mosisture requirements, fertility, and most importantly light!
Presented by Minda Daughtry of the NC Cooperative Extension.
