Using cold wax medium with oils

Build complexity and richness to your work with cold wax and oils. In this workshop we will explore how to use wax and other mediums to build up translucence and texture in your oil paintings.

We’ll dive into the materials and techniques and how they can be applied to bring layered abstraction and luminosity to your paintings. You will have plenty of step by step demos and guided practice, as well as time to apply the techniques in your own painting.

Throughout the workshop we’ll use your photo references to complete a painting ready to frame.
