Winter is the best time to slip into something tropical. We invite you to join Cashiers Valley Fusion and Yoga Highlands on our 4th trip abroad, this year we are headed to Jamaica’s Southern Coast. We are thrilled to have discovered Jake’s Hotel, a bohemian hideaway on Jamaica’s Treasure Beach. Colorful villas, mosaic pathways… Jake’s is an artsy paradise where you can spend the night in quirky cottages where seashell-and-rock walls assure privacy in outdoor showers, recycled bottles simulate stained glass, and twig awnings provide shade. Jake’s is all about Grown Locally, which means that they support the locals of Treasure Beach—their neighborhood in Jamaica’s parish of St. Elizabeth—in every way possible, as much as possible. Jake’s works with local fishermen, local farmers and local chefs. Their menus change daily to reflect what’s fresh. Local food served by local people.
