Sparks of Love
Venue: The Gazebo at Village Green
Please join us for the 23rd Annual Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting to honor the memories of our sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren who left too soon.
As candles are lit at 7:00 pm local time, the world creates a virtual 24-hour wave of light as it moves from time zone to time zone. Whether you make it to the Village Green here in Cashiers, North Carolina or light a candle from home, our flames burn brighter together.
Event hosted by Bambi Famous Kaine who lost her 20 year old daughter Katelyn Joy Derstine, killed in a car accident while attending the University of Florida in 2006. Katelyn was a UF student majoring in environmental horticulture and a talented violinist. Katelyn is missed every day and Bambi and her family cherish every opportunity to honor her.
