Family Fun
Date: Friday, July 23, 2021 06:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Venue: The Village Green

Tickets Are Now On Sale For Concert With Joe Lasher, Jr.

Joe Lasher, Jr. makes a return appearance to Cashiers on Friday, July 23. The next in the limited edition series Concerts On the Commons, features performances by three outstanding musicians and bands starting at 6 p.m. at The Village Green Commons On Frank Allen Road. Tickets are now on sale for this evening of live music.

Opening the show will be Commodore Fox, a favorite band from Asheville, playing rock and dance hits from the 70’s and 80’s. They will be sure to get the Friday night party started in a lively style.

The night will also include a performance by singer, songwriter Kaitlyn Baker. Baker’s debut single “Burn” charted on Music Row’s Breakout Chart in 2015 and inspired the creation of Kaitlyn Baker’s BURN Sauce, a hot sauce produced by Pepper Palace in Sevierville, Tennessee. In 2016 her self-penned “Heart of Appalachia” song was adopted as the official theme song of the Heart of Appalachia Tourism Authority, a nonprofit organization that promotes tourism. On her latest EP, “Blackbird,” Baker’s voice soars. The six songs, all co-penned by Kaitlyn, are songs about life and love.

Joe Lasher, Jr. will be the final performance of the evening. Born and raised in Weaverville, NC, country music entertainer and songwriter Joe Lasher has been calling the stage home since he was a teenager. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, a southern gospel singer, and father, the member of a 90’s rock band, Joe has set his sights on capturing the attention of country music lovers. Drawing inspiration from icons such as Rodney Atkin, Eric Church, Jon Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams, Joe’s music is influenced by a variety of genres ranging from traditional country to gospel and from rock to heavy metal, creating a sound that is all his own. Already, Joe has shared the stage with Brett Young, Locash, Ashley McBryde, Russell Dickerson, Hardy, and Old Dominion.
